Leading online brands offer their customers free trials when a customer purchases an over-sized product. But what happens when they end up returning the item? That’s where you come in! Sharetown Reps pick up big and bulky open-box products from customers and store, list, resell, and get paid after every sale!

Sharetown Reps are nationwide in the United States. Some areas may have more volume than others.

How long does it take to start working with Sharetown?

If you are hired, you will need to submit additional documents and finish Sharetown University training. The sooner you complete this, the quicker you can begin! Sharetown also conducts a background check, driving history check, and credit check to ensure our clients’ and their customer’s peace of mind.

Do I have to have a helper?

Yes. To safely remove large, heavy, and awkward items without causing any damage to the home, we require a two-person team on each job.

Do I have to have insurance?

Auto insurance is required and you must be able to provide proof of insurance with your name listed on the policy.

What materials do I need to be a Sharetown Rep?

You’ll need a smartphone, a vehicle that is an SUV or truck to transport items and supplies such as tape, plastic sheeting, straps and small tools.

Where can I resell items?

Reps must be willing to sell on various online channels such as Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist or OfferUp. If you do not have a Facebook account you must be willing to create one.

Why should I be a Sharetown Rep?

As an independent contractor, you can set your own hours and be your own boss. Reps can schedule pick-ups when it’s convenient (after their 9-5 job or on weekends). There are no upfront inventory costs to get started and the earning potential is huge. The more products that you pick up and sell, the more money you make.

Do I need any experience to be a Sharetown Rep?

No, you don’t need prior experience, however, the most successful reps have exceptional customer service and selling skills.

What’s a day like for a Sharetown Rep?

Your Sharetown Mobile App will send you a pickup notification and you’ll coordinate a time with the client to pick up the item. You’ll then pick up, store, list, and sell the product. Reps can do as many or as few pickups in a day as they choose. The customers select their pickup windows based on the availability you provide.

How much money can I make?

The earning potential can vary depending on your area and if you take this on as a side business or full-time endeavor. New Reps average about an additional $1,000+ per month and our most successful reps can earn much more.

When do I get paid?

You get paid directly once you sell an item. You’ll receive payment from your buyer and then each week you’ll reconcile your sales and pay what you owe Sharetown.

Are there any incentives?

You will have a chance to earn super-seller incentives based on your gross earnings. You can also earn a bonus by referring friends and family to become a Sharetown Rep.

What’s the best strategy to earn more?

There are a few things that you can do.
1. Be consistent with posting your ads and connect with your dedicated regional point of contact for support and tips.
2. Inventory! The more you sell, the more items that you can pick up. Having more inventory on hand allows you more opportunities to sell! Your earning potential increases the quicker you can sell your inventory.

How do I receive pickups in my area?

You’ll receive a notification for a pickup assignment on your Sharetown Mobile App.
